Writing Stuff

Project: | Full-length, four-act melodrama
The LADY VANISHES

Adapting the classic Alfred Hitchcock movie for the stage!

A train winds its way through the small, troubled country of Bandrika on the eve of war! On board are a variety of people, each with their own secrets and agendas… minus one. There was a little old governess bound to return to England, or was there? Why can only one young woman remember seeing her? Is it a mystery, a vast conspiracy, or simply a faulty memory? Our hero must find the vanishing lady, lest she risk her sanity, or even her very life!

Adapted for the stage as a writing sample to capture the voice, the charm, and the suspence of this Hitchcock classic, The Lady Vanishes takes on the challenge of setting the majority of a full length play on a moving train. Full of melodrama and intrigue, it's a faithful re-creation that's sure to make its readers fall in love again with this classic tale.

What did the fans have to say on
the MURPG message boards?

"Rated against the published books? Its as good if not better... The 'fluff' is also pretty good... the history and commentary on Marvel's New York City especially."
--Wildknight

"I also have to give points for how polished it looks."
--Takewithfood

"It's a great book. Really. ... Great work, and the GM section is awsome."
-- Anonymous

"It does catch the feel of the main books and has a high level of professionalism. Nicely done."

--Raynorn

"I loved this project both as a fan boy and as a game designer. I thought it was great that you choose to remain respectful to the original concept and scaling system showing a measure of restraint and practicality that most people on this board don't even bother with. It is obvious that you have a firm grasp of balanced game structure. Once again, I'd just like to say how VERY impressed I am with both the enormity of this product and the level of quality with which it was completed."

"Nobody cares."
